Meet Hazel&Henry

Hazel and Henry are the two voices behind our weekly menu. They aren’t real people — they’re the two kinds of thinking we bring to every recipe. One picks what to cook. One figures out how to shop for it.

Portrait of Hazel

The one who picks what to cook

Hazel

Hazel decides what we’re cooking. She thinks about flavor and about the small touches that make a meal feel like something, not just food. She likes a long braise on a Sunday and something quick on a Wednesday, and she doesn’t think a weeknight dinner has to be complicated to be good.

The one who finds the deals

Henry

Henry pays attention to what to buy. He reads the weekly flyers, knows what’s coming into season, and remembers which store has the olive oil deal this month. He isn’t looking for the cheapest thing on the shelf — he’s looking for the best price on something worth bringing home.

Together

Most families already have both of these perspectives at the table. One person thinks about what sounds good. The other thinks about what makes sense to shop for. Hazel and Henry stand in for that back-and-forth, so every recipe we send has both of them in it.
